Operator okays Kaduna Airport logistics

Dana Air

Managing Director (MD) of Dana Air, Jacky Hathiramani, yesterday commended the Federal Government over upgrade of Kaduna Airport, to serve as alternative for the temporarily closed Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Hathiramani, during an inspection of the airport, applauded enormous work done within limited time to “ensure that the airport is world-class for passengers, flying in and out of Kaduna.”

On the Kaduna–Abuja expressway, Hathiramani added that the road is smooth and okay for use.

According to him, “The security arrangement is commendable. I just went for a meeting in Abuja and I have taken time to assess the facilities here. Some of the facilities here are world-class and it’s just two hours to Abuja,’’ the MD said.

Recall that The Guardian Monday reported logistics challenges, especially the lack of Point of Sale (PoS) and Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) among others that ease transactions in modern airports.
Hathiramani, however, confirmed that the problems had been addressed.

He said: “We have our PoS working now. We had to fast- track the process with our banks in order to reduce the burden on our passengers. I also sighted an ATM somewhere around. Things are coming up to speed here and I think it is good for the industry.”
