Starting 28 March 2017, Ethiopian Airlines will add two more
destinations on the continent, to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and
Antananarivo, Madagascar strengthening the airline’s network to 400
weekly flights to 53 cities across Africa.
“We are proud that we are able to link these new stations to the
Ethiopian network in such a short period of time,” Group CEO Tewolde
GebreMariam said.
Earlier in March, Ethiopian became the only international carrier to
fly to Kaduna in Nigeria when it landed its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner in
Kaduna Airport.
It also signed a codeshare agreement with Air Namibia which allows
both airlines to expand their global network through the services of
each other in February 2017.
A new flight to Oslo, Norway will be launched alongside the two new African destinations.
The fast-growing carrier connects cities in Africa to cities in the
world through 72 weekly flights to Asia; 65 weekly to the Middle East;
54 almost-daily flights to Europe; 28 weekly flights to four
destinations in China; and 20 weekly flights to the Americas.
The new Antananarivo, Victoria Falls and Oslo flights are three of
the seven new destinations Ethiopian plans to launch in the first half
of this year.
It envisages 120 global destinations by the year 2025.
