Etihad New Baggage Allowance as at September 2015

Etihad New Baggage Allowance as at September 2015 and as seen On 14 September 2015, Etihad Airways changed its checked baggage allowances and its excess baggage rates.

If you purchased your ticket prior to 14 September 2015, the pre-14 September checked baggage allowances will apply.

However, 2015 excess baggage rates will apply to all passengers, irrespective of ticket purchase date. The only exceptions to our new excess baggage rates are:

• Guests who commenced their ticketed itinerary prior to 14 of September and do not make any changes to their itinerary on or after 14 September 2015 (for flights to/from the US)
• Guests who purchased prepaid excess baggage prior to 14 September 2015.

Baggage with partner airlines

If your itinerary includes flights marketed by airlines other than Etihad Airways, different baggage rules may apply. For existing bookings, your ticket will have full details of your baggage allowances for each flight in your itinerary.

Maximum weight and dimensions
To / from Brazil, Canada and the US: 158cm (50x70x38)
To / from all other destinations: 207cm (45x72x90)
Each item must not exceed 32kg.

This applies to all baggage including pre-purchased excess baggage. Baggage that exceeds the limits and dimensions shall only be processed through Etihad Cargo opens in a new window.
