British Airways is offering business class travellers a complimentary
one-way upgrade to first class on flights to the UK and Europe from
Hong Kong, as the airline marks 80 years flying to the city.
The offer is available to flyers who book selected Club World
business class tickets before November 30, 2016 from Hong Kong to one of
its 22 UK destinations or 40 European destinations for travel before
June 15, 2017.
The upgrade offer runs in conjunction with the airline’s Triple Avios
Promotion. This allows customers who book a Club World business class
ticket on one of its UK or Europe-bound Hong Kong flights to earn triple
Avios points, though travel must be completed on or before December 11,
2016 in order to qualify for the rewards bonus.
According to the airline, earning triple points on a Club World
business class ticket on long-haul routes from Hong Kong to the UK and
Europe is enough to redeem two return economy class reward flights from
Hong Kong to Tokyo. Travellers must sign up as a British Airways
Executive Club member and register on the airline’s website in order to
be eligible for the promotion.
“This one-way upgrade offer gives our premium customers the
opportunity to experience the exceptional comfort and impeccable
services of the First cabin at the price of business class fares,” said
Noella Ferns, the airline’s general manager, Greater China and the
Philippines. “Our First cabin is the ultimate luxury in the sky,
combining privacy, comfort, space, elegance and contemporary British
design.
British Airways’ first class cabins feature two-metre-long beds, a
personal wardrobe and a 15-inch TV screen, while bedding consists of
white Egyptian cotton duvet, a quilted mattress and pillow. Cotton
pyjamas, an amenity kit developed by Aromatherapy Associates and The
Refinery, and a turndown service are also offered.
During flight, premium customers can dine at the first class
restaurant, which features an à la carte menu, while upon landing the
London Heathrow Terminal 5 arrivals lounge is available.
