Dana
Air has rewarded students with free tickets for their brilliant
performance at the 7th edition of the National Travel Essay Competition
and 6th Air Transport Youth Empowerment Seminar which was held at the
training hall of the Nigerian Civil Aviation (NCAA) headquarters annex,
Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos.
The National
Travel Essay Competition and Youth Empowerment Seminar with the theme
“Choosing an Exciting Career – Why Aviation?” is designed to create
greater awareness for the air transport sector and raise future aviation
professionals.
The spokesman of Dana Air, Mr Kingsley Ezenwa,
while congratulating the winners said that apart from the support that
the airline has been giving to the organisers of the National Travel
Essay Competition since 2009, Dana Air also partners with Bicourtney
Aviation Services Limited by providing aircraft for students to access
when students of various institutions come for a facility tour of the
Murtala Mohammed Airport 2.
He
encouraged the students to consider a career in aviation, stating that
Dana Air’s kids fly programme is also part of the airlines’ commitment
to giving students and kids alike their first flight experience while
exposing them to the exciting world of aviation.
The founder and
coordinator of the National Travel Essay Competition, Mr Ewos Iroro,
thanked Dana Air for its continued support for the initiative since 2009
which is aimed at creating greater awareness for the air transport
sector and raising future aviation professionals.
He said: “We
would like to thank Dana Air for their encouragement so far and we use
this opportunity to solicit their sustained and increased support.”
