Closure of Chennai International Airport (MAA)
Etihad Airways has been forced to suspend its flights from
and to Chennai till December 16 due to the to the extended closure of Chennai International Airport (MAA), as a result of the ongoing floods.
We are closely monitoring the situation, and awaiting for
official confirmation of the airport’s reopening to resume normal operations
thereafter.
Etihad Airways is offering the following options for guests
who purchased tickets to travel to/from Chennai, on or before, 16 December 2015
and who now wish to alter their flight plans.
• Guests may change to another date of travel on/before 31
December 2015 in the original class of booking, or
• Guests may be re-routed to/from another Etihad online
Indian domestic point in the original class of booking. Any transportation or
additional cost between the alternative online EY Indian domestic city and
Chennai (MAA) is at passengers own expense.
• Change of booking fee for guests wishing to change their
tickets are waived for this one instance only. Any subsequent changes will be
subject to normal re-issue fees.
