Decision has been taken against oversize
passengers; Uzbekistan Airways has taken into consideration the safety
of passengers and has announced a new policy that involves in weighing
an oversize passenger before boarding.Announcing
this Uzbekistan Airways will now start weighing passenger and their
luggage on a weighing machine, after checked in. stating clearly that
all passenger weight will not be reveal or announce public, but rather
an over-weigh passenger will not be allowed to board on smaller plane.
The airline now has a weighing machine
located at the departure gates to weigh passenger and their personal
luggage. And this activity is base on three categories, men, women and
children.
The company said “they needed to know
the weights of both people and their luggage because it was important,
especially with smaller planes”.
