The British High Commission has reopened
the Teleperformance Visa Application Centre in Ikeja following
improvements in the availability of fuel.
The facility was closed on May 26 and could not reopen last Monday as initially scheduled.
The Commission said shortages being experienced across Nigeria were seriously affecting power supplies at the facility.
However, operations have now resumed.
“After being temporarily closed due to
the country wide fuel shortage, the Teleperformance Visa Application
Centre in Ikeja has now re-opened,” the High Commission stated.
Crippling fuel shortages during the
period the centre culminated in business coming to a standstill across
many sectors of the continent’s biggest economy, which ironically, is
Africa’s biggest producer of crude oil.
