Winter 2014 and Summer 2015 schedule changes


Winter 2014 and Summer 2015 schedule changesWe have announced a number of changes to timings and frequencies on our network for Winter 14. Changes are effective in the selling system and the service start date is 26 October 2014 unless stated otherwise.
Schedule changes took place in the 1st week of June on a large number of our LHR shorthaul flights for Winter 2014 with many timing and/or aircraft changes.
Customers should receive an email message advising them of the timing or seat change.

Frequency changes during Winter 14:

For travel from 1 August 2014 until the end of the Summer season, we have made some frequency changes to our services:
  • Kiev (IEV) - daily service, reduced from 12 per week
  • Amsterdam (AMS) - 3 additional flights per week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
  • Basel (BSL) - 1 additional service on Mondays
  • Newcastle (NCL) - 1 additional flight on Thursdays

London Heathrow

ROUTE SUSPENSIONS:
Agadir (AGA) will be suspended from 26 October 2014. No re-accommodation has been possible as there are no alternative services on any of our interline partners from London direct to Agadir. Please offer alternative gateways from LGW to Marakech (RAK) or via MAD to Casablanca (CMN)
SCHEDULE CHANGES:
  • Seattle (SEA) - remains at 10 round trips per week. Thursday frequency reduces from 2 to 1 daily service. Monday increases from daily to a double daily
  • Algiers, Turin, Larnaca, Dubrovnik, Genoa, Malaga and Nice - day of week changes
  • Accra (ACC) - BA081 will operate a Monday departure instead of Wednesdays, return BA080 ACC-LHR will operate on Tuesdays instead of Thursdays.
  • Boston (BOS) BA203/BA202 LHR-BOS-LHR will operate on Fridays instead of Wednesdays
FREQUENCY INCREASES:
  • Berlin (TXL) - increased frequency with an additional daily flight, to 47 a week
  • Chennai (MAD) increasing to daily service, deploying the Boeing 787 (from 26 October)
  • Tel Aviv (TLV) - increasing to 17 flights per week, existing services will have an aircraft change (from 26 October)
  • Athens (ATH) - increasing with an extra Saturday flight, to 21 a week (from 1 November)
  • Vienna (VIE) - increasing with an additional 6 flights per week, to 34 per week (from 26 October)
  • Stockholm (ARN) - increasing with an extra flight on Tuesdays, to 40 per week (from 28 October)
  • Barcelona (BCN) - increasing to 45 per week (from 26 October)
  • Brussels (BRU) - increasing to 41 per week (from 30 October)
  • Copenhagen (CPH) - increasing to 40 per week (from 26 October)
  • Dusseldorf (DUS) - increasing to 40 per week (from 31 October) and an additional 3 flights bringing it to 43 flights per week (from 5 January 2015)
  • Newcastle (NCL) - increasing to 48 per week (from 26 October) and an additional 2 flights (from 3 December)
  • Zurich (ZRH) - increasing to 40 per week (28 October)
  • Accra (ACC) - increasing with an additional service on Thursdays, to 11 flights per week (from 26 October)
  • Cape Town (CPT) - increasing with an additional 9 rotations to meet high demand during this period (from 2 - 10 January 2015)
  • Mexico City (MEX) - increasing from 4 to 5 flights per week (from 6 December)
  • Amsterdam (AMS) - increasing to 60 flights per week with additional flight on Sundays
  • Glasgow (GLA) - increaseing to 68 flights per week with extra daily flight from Monday to Saturdays
  • Munich (MUC) - increasing frequency to 55 flights per week with extra flight every day except Saturdays

FREQUENCY DECREASES:
  • Paris (CGD) - decreasing to 48 per week
  • Edinburgh (EDI) - decreasing to 66 per week
  • Tripoli (TIP) - decreasing to 3 per week
  • Manchester (MAN) - decreasing to 59 per week
  • Freetown (FNA)/Monrovia (ROB) - decreasing with Thursday departure suspended, reducing services to 3 flights per week
  • Amman (AMM) - decreasing from 11 to 7 flights per week
  • Accra (ACC) - decreasing from 11 flights a week to daily service. BA079 LHR-ACC on Mon, Thu, Fri and Sun cancelled. BA080 ACC-LHR on Mon, Tue, Fri and Sat cancelled.
  • Montreal (YUL) - decreasing from a daily service to 6 per week. BA095/094 LHR-YUL-LHR on Tuesdays cancelled.
  • New York (JFK) - decreasing from 62 to 56 per week. BA181 LHR-JFK Monday to Saturdays cancelled. BA180 JFK-LHR Tuesday to Sundays cancelled.
  • New York (EWR) - decreasing from 20 to 19 per week. BA187/186 LHR-EWR-LHR on Mondays cancelled.
TERMINAL CHANGES:
  • Dublin (DUB) and Belfast (BFS) - move of flights from London Heathrow Terminal 1 to Terminal 5 (from 26 October 2014)
  • Barcelona (BCN) from London Heathrow Terminal 5 to Terminal 3 (from 26 October 2014)

London Gatwick


ROUTE SUSPENSIONS:
Las Vegas (LAS) - will be suspended over the Winter 14/15 period. The last service will operate 2 December 2014 and restart again on 12 March 2015. Flights to Las Vegas from London Heathrow will continue to operate as normal.
NEW ROUTES:
  • Grenoble & Friedrichshafen (Alps) from 20 December until 19 April 2015 - operating on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Fuerteventura (FUE) from 13 December - 2 flights per week operating on Wednesdays and Saturdays

SCHEDULE CHANGES:
  • Las Vegas (LAS) - day change from Sunday to Saturday (ie 3 x weekly flights will be on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday)
  • St Kitts (SKB) day of week change from Tuesday and Saturday to Wednesday and Saturday

FREQUENCY INCREASES
  • Punta Cana (PUJ) - new direct service twice weekly (from 26 October 2014)
  • Antigua (ANU) - increased capacity as a result of removing Punta Cana tags. Antigua will remain a daily service. (from 26 October)
  • Tampa (TPA) - increased frequency from 6 to a daily service all season (from 26 October)
  • Orlando (MCO) - increased frequency from 7 to 10 flights a week for seasonal demand (26 Oct - 30 Nov 2014 and 1- 25 March 2015)
  • Barbados (BGI) - increased frequency from 10 to 12 flights a week for seasonal demand (3 December 2014 -25 February 2015)
  • Kingston (KIN) - increased frequency from 3 to 4 flights a week for seasonal demand (7 December 2014 - 22 February 2015)
  • Tobago (TAB) - increased frequency from 1 to 2 flights a week and continue to tag via Antigua (from 26 October)
  • Salzburg (SZG) - increasing with an extra flight on Sundays to 9 per week (from 14 December)
  • Turin (TRN) - increasing with additional 2 flights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to 12 per week (from 27 October)
  • Tenerife (TFS) - increasing with additional flights on Thursdays and Sundays to 7 per week (from 30 October)
FREQUENCY DECREASES
  • Marrakesh (RAK) - decrease to 7 per week (from 27 October)
  • Naples (NAP) - decrease to 7 per week (from 26 October)
  • Alicante (ALC) - decrease to 5 per week (from 28 October)
  • Malaga (AGP) - decrease to 9 per week (from 30 October) and then 8 per week (from 12 December)

London City


NEW ROUTE:
  • Hamburg (HAM) - operated by SUN-AIR of Scandanavia from 27 October, 2 flights a day (Monday to Friday) No flights will operate over the Christmas and New Year holiday season, between 20 December 2014 and 11 January 2015.

ROUTE SUSPENSIONS:
  • Stockholm (ARN) and Aberdeen (ABZ) - both routes from LCY are suspended for travel from 26 October 2014
  • Venice (VCE) - route will no longer operate during the Winter season, will recommence in March 2015
  • Customers booked on the above suspended services will be re-accommodated onto alternative flights via LHR

FREQUENCY DECREASES:
  • Palma (PMI) will be reduced for the Winter season from 26 October
  • Granada (GRX) will be reduced for the Winter season from 1 November

TERMINAL CHANGES:
Madrid (MAD) - flights will arrive into and depart from Madrid Terminal 4 instead of Terminal 4S from 15 September onwards

NEW ROUTES:
  • Bodrum (BJV) - 2 per week (Mon and Thu) from 27 April
  • Cagliari (CAG) - 3 per week (Mon, Thu and Sat) from 27 April
  • Dalaman (DLM) - 4 per week (Mon, Wed, Thu and Sat) from 27 April
  • Heraklion (HER) - 4 per week (Tues, Thu, Fri and Sun) from 26 April
  • Rhodes (RHO) - 2 per week (Wed and Sat) from 29 April
  • Corfu (CFU) - 4 per week between 1 May and 20 September
  • Kos (KGS) – 2 per week between 2 May and 19 September
  • Olbia (OLB) – 2 per week between 2 May and 19 September
  • Split (SPU) – 2 per week between 3 May and 20 September

NEW A380 ROUTE:
  • San Francisco (SFO) - operating with A380 on BA287/286 with 5 flights per week (Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 29 March 2015. Total frequency remains at 14 flights per week.

FREQUENCY INCREASE:
  • Tel Aviv (TLV) - increasing to 17 flights per week from 29 March. BA167 LHR-TLV on Tue, Thu and Sun and BA166 TLV-LHR return flight on Mon, Wed and Fri
  • Miami (MIA) - increasing with 3 additional flights per week from 29 March to 2 May 2015 on Mon, Thu and Sat (BA205/204)
  • Cape Town (CPT) - increasing with additional daily flights from 29 March to 27 April 2015 (BA043/042)

FREQUENCY DECREASE:
  • Beirut (BEY) - decreasing from 10 flights to 7 per week. BA153 LHR-BEY on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday will be cancelled for travel from 29 March 2015. BA152 BEY-LHR on Monday, Wednesday and Friday will also be cancelled. Customers on cancelled flights will be re-accommodated onto BA149/148 services.
  • Newark (EWR) - decreasing from 20 flights to 14 per week
  • Buenos Aires (EZE) - decreasing from 7 flights to 5 per week
  • Cape Town (CPT) - decreasing from 10 flights to 9 per week
  • Accra (ACC) - decreasing from 10 flights to 7 per week

AIRPORT MOVE:
Providenciales (PLS) services from LHR to London Gatwick (LGW) from the start of the Summer 2015 season. Will continue to operate on a Sunday but will be one-stop via Antigua (ANU) instead of Nassau (NAS)

  • Funchal (FNC) - 3 flights per week during the summer season starting 11 May 2015
  • Las Palmas (LPA) – 2 flights per week from 29 March 2015
  • Seville (SVQ) – 5 flights per week also from 29 March 2015

ROUTE WITHDRAWAL:
  • Colombo (CMB) - withdrawn from 27 March 2015 (last inbound flight on 28 March)

ROUTE SUSPENSION:
  • Male (MLE) - suspended from 27 March 2015 (last inbound flight 28 March) and re-commencing in Winter 2015 with the first service on 25 October 2015

FREQUENCY INCREASES:
  • Venice (VCE) - increasing to 22 flights per week with extra service on Sundays (BA2586/2587) from 3 May 2015
  • Tirana (TIA) - increasing to 4 flights per week with 1 additional flight a week (BA2648/9) from 1 May 2015
  • Bari (BRI) - increasing to 4 flights per week with 1 additional flight a week (BA2590/1) from 26 April 2015
  • Genoa (GOA) - increasing to 9 flights per week with 2 additional biweekly flights a week (BA2684/5) from 1 April 2015 (in cooperation with P&O Cruises)
  • Venice (VCE) - increasing to 23 flights per week with 1 additional biweekly flights a week (BA2586/7) from 8 April 2015 (in cooperation with P&O Cruises)
  • Antigua (ANU) - increasing to a daily service per week between 30 March 2015 to 22 October 2015.
  • Orlando (MCO) - increasing from 13 flights to 14 per week with an additional Thursday service between 2 April 2015 to 22 October 2015
  • Port of Spain (POS) - increasing from 5 to 6 per week (via UVF) with an additional Wednesday service between 1 April 2015 to 21 October 2015 (UVF remains unchanged at 7 flights per week)

FREQUENCY DECREASES:
  • Malaga (AGP) – decreasing to up to 29 per week as reducing by 1 flight per week on Thursdays from 16 July to 4 September 2015
  • Alicante (ALC) – decreasing to up to 15 per week as reducing by 3 flights per week on Thursday, Friday and Sundays from 29 March to 24 October 2015
  • Pisa (PSA) – decreasing to 7 per week as reducing a daily flight from 29 March to 24 October 2015
  • Nice (NCE) – decreasing to 19 per week as reducing by 2 flights per week on Wednesday and Saturdays from 29 March to 24 October 2015

SCHEDULE CHANGES:
  • St Kitts (SKB) - move from Tuesday to Wednesday so days of operation will be Wednesday and Saturday
  • Antigua-Tobago (ANU-TAB) - move from Thursday to Friday
  • Punta Cana (PUJ) - move from Wednesday to Thursday so days of operation will be Thursday and Sunday
  • Mauritius (MRU) - schedule change with inbound flight becoming an overnighter. LGW-MRU from 1500-0555* to 2105-1155* & MRU-LGW from 0800-1700 to 2330-0830*
  • Grenada (GND) - move from Wednesday to Tuesday (via ANU) and will remain at 2 services per week, with one service operating via Antigua and one operating via Saint Lucia between 31 March 2015 to 20 October 2015
  • Kingston (KIN) - move from Monday, Wednesday, Friday to Tuesday, Friday, Sunday between 29 March 2105 to 23 October 2015
