These days, part time work for
students isn't only to fund certain vanities anymore. Working while you’re at
university is a great way to pay for your accommodation and other essential
stuff.
UK is increasingly becoming more and more expensive to live in. Truth be told, most international students are self funded, so, it is imperative to work. With higher cost of living now in the UK, students now have to work these days to support themselves.
Even it's a way to boost your CV and put you at an advantage when you look for work as a graduate.
Considering the fact that most international students support themselves, whilst studying, it is imperative to work. With the restrictions on your visa, it is pretty important to be smart when choosing the kind of job to do here in UK.
In my earlier post, I promised to give a list the 10 smart jobs students can do in the UK that will put extra cash into their pockets.

somebody else's money? Many of these mystery shopper companies abound around
the country.
All you need do is act as a regular shopper, then you observe the level of service and write objective reports about their shopping experiences.
And get to keep the objects purchased. You can find out more information about becoming a mystery shopper by clicking the two links below:

Student Job #2 - Fundraising Jobs
Ever wonder how you can earn money at the same time give back to the society? Charity fundraisers are employed primarily to increase the contributions of individuals and groups to a charity by building relationships and exploring new fundraising opportunities from various sources.
Raising funds for charity is great way to make money as a student, at the same time partake in something worthwhile.
If you want money in a flexible way, then this is the way to go.
This kind of job offers a flexible way to earn money whilst studying with many fundraising companies allowing you to work evenings and weekends.
Student Job #3 - Clinical Trials
This is probably scary or at least it gives you the shivers. Well' it doesn't most times have anything to do with drugs, surgeries or any of sort.
These days, there are various clinical trials that do not involve anything dangerous. It could be trials on sleep patterns, stress patterns etc.
It would only involve a few days in the hospitals where you are well taken care of and you could end up with about £1000.
If you ask me, that's someone's monthly salary.
Some studies may not be that easy, please ask the doctor exactly what the risks are - both short term and long term. Get all the information you need.
Always talk to your doctor before you go for any clinical trial.

Student Job #4 - Events Stewards
Event stewards are present at events in order to maintain the health and safety of the crowd, workers and members of the public who are attending the event.
Being stewards at events is one of the best ways to make money as students. Some of them even pay in cash (good huh).
Music festivals, football matches, musical concerts and many more are some of the events that require stewards and security officials. Companies like eventsjobsuk, pitmanspeople and many more provide events stewards services in the UK.
Student Job #5 - Product Reviewer
This is another great way to make money as a student. New products are being tested daily by the product manufacturers, before being rolled out. In most cases, such exercises don't last for more than 2hrs and the minimum amount I've seen is £45.
Sometimes, it could go up to £100. All you'll need to sign up with a company that offers product testing. Once you do this the company will send you emails to fill out screeners to see if you'll qualify for their up and coming product testing.
Once you fill out their screener survey, they'll let you know at the end if you qualify or not.
About 90% of the times you get to keep the product you've tested and still get paid.
Student Job #6 - Become A Tutor
As a Uni or Masters degree student, teaching at GCSE or A-level students shouldn't be a problem. I believe you are even in a better position to teach those kids, considering the age gap. We have many online tutoring sites these days.
It is super easy now more than ever to get tutoring jobs. Advertise on tutorhunt.com or First Tutors and many more.
Student Job #7 - Babysitting
Babysitting is another good way
to make money as a student. Well, it is probably good for people who love being
around kids. It is about getting paid to watch TVs, eat free food and more.
Some parents might require you take a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check before you can look after their children.
It is the law actually in the UK. It really is easy and free cash. Live-in baby sitting is rampant as well. It could go for for between £150 and £200 a week and it's mostly cash.

These are questionnaire that target audience complete online. It is usually to provide data to customers or manufacturers.
Research companies need new people everyday to partake in their surveys. Through this, people make money online everyday. It's a great way to make cool and easy money.
All you need do is fill out online surveys in your spare time. It only takes a few minutes and you make your money.
Student Job #9 - Security
This is one of my favourites and I will tell you why. If you pick the right kind of security job, it's a great way to work and still have time for your studies.
There is enough time to do your assignments, course works and read vigorously because you gonna be in a place and read newspaper all through the shift.
It's easy to get security jobs, all you need is the Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence and you are good to go.
Student Job #10 - Learn A Craft Before You Get Here
I deliberately made this the last. It is by far the most important of all. With this you can get paid in cash, you choose your hours and the pay is ludicrous. Anything from barbing, hairdressing, plumbing, fashion designing, the list is endless.
To sow a typical Nigerian buba and sokoto goes for a whooping £60 in London now. Basically, sowing traditional cloths is like a jackpot.
To visit the barber now, the minimum is £5. I strongly advise, if you have enough time, please learn something before leaving your home country. You will smile all through your stay in the UK, if you heed
