Taste of the Far East meal |
British Airways will add a sixth upgraded meal option for its long-haul economy passengers next week.
From October 26, World Traveller
passengers flying from London Heathrow will be able to sample the “Taste
of the Far East” choice for £16.
The pre-paid selection menu features
vegetarian sushi, prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce, chicken pay ca
paw with egg rice, wok fried vegetables and green tea tiramisu.
It joins five other pre-paid enhanced
meals — Gourmet Dining (£18), Taste of Britain £16), Great British
Breakfast £15), Healthy Choice (£15) and Vegetarian Kitchen (15) — that
BA introduced in May, 2015.
Passengers need to pre-book their meal at ba.com/managemybooking at some point between 30 days and 24 hours prior to travel.
Colin Talbot, BA’s head of catering,
said: “So far Gourmet Dining, with its poached king prawns, followed by
beef cheek and then chocolate ganache for dessert, is proving to be our
most popular dish, but we believe Taste of the Far East could be a
contender for that title.”
