Dana Air signs interline pact with Asky to boost capacity

Dana Air

Dana Air yesterday signed an interline agreement with Asky airline to boost its capacity. The deed was part of activities planned to meet the full implementation of open-air treaty.

ASKY is a passenger airline founded on the initiative of West African governments, with its head office in Lomé, Togo.

The strategic alliance by the Nigerian airline involves expanding route operations and competing with other carriers in the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM).

Dana Air’s Group Managing Director, Jacky Hathiramani, said at the signing in Lagos, that the agreement was a bold step to achieve its strategic route and fleet expansion programme.

He said: “With this partnership, we shall be adding some brand new aircraft to our fleet soon. We have also had advanced talks with some notable aircraft manufacturers. Also very soon, some of the company’s aircraft outside the country on maintenance would arrive.

“This is part of our desire to provide options for our clients who had also requested to be considered in operating to some under-served cities in Nigeria.
