Agodi garden has a large park filled with lovely shrubs and flowers and a lake where one can go boat cruising. There is also a swimming pool, a restaurant, play areas for kids and a mini zoo. 2. University of Ibadan Zoological Garden
University of Ibadan has arguably the
best zoo in Nigeria! It has a healthy number of animals, ranging from
monkeys, snakes, birds, lions to different other animals. The zoo was
recently upgraded to a world class zoo. This is an interesting place to
visit with friends and family.
3. Fun Factory
Located in Oshuntokun avenue in old Bodija, is a recreational facility that is so much fun! Fun
factory is a family friendly spot that offers creative and exciting
games for children. You can also have special events like birthdays and
family hangouts.
4. IITA Forest Reserve
This is a breath-taking tourist
attraction in Ibadan, from wild to warm, the experience is totally
awesome. With the rainforest having sporting facilities like; a 9-hole
golf course, badminton court, swimming pool, football pitch, and a lawn
tennis court amongst others,this reserve would help you revive your sporty lifestyle all over again.
5. Ibadan City Mall
Ibadan City Mall is the biggest
Shoprite in Nigeria! Asides taking Instagram-worthy pictures, there’s so

Ibadan is a great place to hang out at

7. Cocoa House
This is one of the tallest buildings in
West Africa. Built by the late Obafemi Awolowo in the 60s, this
building is the first skyscraper ever to be built in Africa and it was
constructed from the proceeds of cocoa sold for export, hence the name.
It also has a restaurant, bar and a pool
8. Mapo Hall
You can’t afford to miss this colonial
edifice located right beside Bere Market in Ibadan. The building, which
was just recently refurbished is a colonial style city hall. Visitors
will be taken aback by the outstanding pillars of the building and the
general structure.
9. Bower’s Tower
The over 60 feet tall tower is on the hill top of Oke Are in Igbo Agala (Agala
forest) area of Ibadan. It is the highest hilltop in the city and it
has about 47 spiral staircases.The tower gives a panoramic view of all
the important places in the ancient city. One can see a bird ’ s eye
view of the University College Hospital (UCH), University of Ibadan,
Cocoa House , Dugbe Market , Agodi Gardens , Iwo Road, Ife Road, Olorunsogo and the defunct Lagos/ Ibadan Toll Gate . Other far- flung places like Adamasingba , Felele, and many more become visible. Some of these places are far away but standing atop the tower gives one a bird’s eye view of them.
